On most days, “LEMA”, which translates to “plough” in Sepedi, is a word that carries a lot of meaning and significance. It is a reminder that growth is necessary, and that through hard work and dedication, collective progress is achievable. 

“LEMA” is a mindset, a rallying cry against being comfortable; a stance against the status quo, against settling for mediocrity; a daily reminder that change is constant, that we must be adaptable to all conditions, and that our inputs will always determine our outcomes.  

“LEMA” is being as accountable for our inactions as we are for our actions; a promise to do as much as we can while we still can. “LEMA” is why we are here; a platform for collective growth through creative thinking, artistic expression, and collaboration. Through various projects, initiatives, stories, and events, we will remind the world that we are better when we move together.

On other days, “LEMA” is a simple as sweatpants and a t-shirt; it’s a pair of all stars and a camera lens; it’s a notepad and indecipherable scribbles, it’s LE-bogang MA-noko. A personal portfolio; a public private space where I share my thoughts, my love for learning, writing, photography, storytelling, research, marketing, and a love for people.
